Audacious Dark Oak Sideboard - Sterling

In our view, a sideboard should quietly organise the room around it, and this is exactly what we set out to achieve with our Audacious Dark Oak Sideboard. At 160cm wide and just 67.1cm tall, it runs long and low along a wall, giving you a generous surface for lamps, ceramics or a row of framed prints while keeping everyday clutter tucked away below. It is designed as a piece that earns its place in a living room, hallway or dining space, holding what you need close to hand without dominating the floor.

The body has a gently rounded form finished in our Sterling colourway, a soft grey that settles easily alongside both warm and cool schemes. Fluted tambour doors slide across the front, their vertical ridges catching the light and adding movement to what could otherwise be a plain face. The whole piece rests on four round tapered legs, lifting it clear of the floor so the shape reads as light rather than heavy. Made from solid oak, polyester, MDF and artificial leather, it brings together a mix of materials we chose for a matt, tactile finish that feels considered up close.

Inside, the shelves take up to 15kg each and the top holds up to 50kg, with those figures applying when weight is spread evenly across the surface, so plan your heavier books or speakers accordingly. It weighs 42.5kg, measures 50cm deep, and asks for roughly 20 to 25 minutes of assembly. We hold it to the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which matters to us. To care for it, we suggest a soft dry cloth and a gentle touch around the tambour doors, keeping them free of grit so they continue to glide as they should for years to come.

What is the Sterling sideboard made from?
