Description

Our Audacious Dark Oak Sideboard pairs solid oak with a soft polyester weave and touches of artificial leather, all finished in a deep Shadow tone that we chose to draw out the darker grain of the wood. The 160cm body sits low and long, with a rounded profile rather than a flat front, so the fluted tambour sliding doors curve gently across the face. Four round tapered legs lift it clear of the floor, giving the piece an easy, grounded stance that we think reads well in a hallway, a dining space or a living room alcove.

Behind the sliding tambour doors we have arranged interior shelving for tableware, linens, books or anything better kept tucked away. Each shelf takes a maximum load of 15kg, while the top surface holds up to 50kg when the weight is spread evenly across it, so there is room for a table lamp base, a run of framed photographs or a stack of serving dishes. The doors glide sideways along their tracks, which we find useful where a hinged door would need clearance it does not always have. At 67.1cm high, 160cm wide and 50cm deep, it settles neatly under a mirror or a length of wall art.

This sideboard is made from solid oak, polyester, MDF and artificial leather, and it weighs 42.5kg once complete.
