Description

At 160cm wide, our Audacious Dark Oak Sideboard gives a generous run of storage while sitting low at 67.1cm high, keeping sightlines open across a room. The 50cm depth holds serving dishes, table linens or a run of books, and the top makes a steady surface for a table lamp base or a line of framed photographs. We finished it in Morning Meadows, a soft green cast that settles well against the warm Dark Oak, and we kept the proportions long and considered so it earns its place along a wall without crowding the floor.

The form is what we like most about this piece. Rather than a flat front, it has a rounded body with fluted tambour sliding doors that curve gently at the corners, and it stands on four round tapered legs that lift it clear of the floor. Behind the doors we have fitted shelving with a maximum load of 15kg per shelf, and the top will take up to 50kg when the weight is spread evenly across the surface. It is made from solid oak, polyester, MDF and artificial leather, giving a piece that weighs 42.5kg once assembled, so it feels grounded and solid in use.
