Audacious Dark Oak Cabinet - Shadow

Rounded at the corners and low to the ground, our Audacious cabinet carries a soft, rounded rectangular body that we set on four round tapered legs. Fluted tambour doors slide across the front and curve round both ends, so the ribbed lines wrap the whole piece rather than stopping at a flat face. There are no hinges here and no sharp edges to catch the eye. We chose the sliding action because it keeps the front clean and lets you open the cabinet without swinging anything into the room. In Dark Oak with a Shadow finish, it reads calm and grounded, the deeper grain giving the fluting real definition.

This cabinet is made from solid oak and oak veneer over an MDF core, with a steel frame beneath for stability and touches of polyester and artificial leather in the Horizons S detailing. It stands 67cm tall, 100cm wide and 50cm deep, and weighs 19.3kg, so two people can position it easily and one can nudge it into place along a wall. The tambour doors give you covered storage that suits everyday clutter, while the top offers an open surface for a table lamp base, a stack of books or a bowl you want on show. Each internal shelf holds up to 15kg, and the top takes up to 50kg when the weight is spread evenly across it. Assembly takes around 30 minutes.
