Audacious Black Oak Sideboard - Sugar Brown

Our Sugar Brown finish brings a warm, softly toned presence to a room, sitting somewhere between honeyed caramel and gentle earth. It is a colour we chose because it settles happily into all kinds of spaces, from a bright open-plan kitchen to a quieter hallway or living room. Against the Black Oak used across this piece, the shade reads as grounded and inviting rather than loud, and it works just as well with pale walls as it does with deeper, moodier decor. We find it gives a sense of calm order wherever you place it.

This is a long, low sideboard with a gently rounded body and fluted tambour sliding doors that draw the eye across the front. The ribbed tambour softens the whole shape, catching light along its grooves, while four round tapered legs lift the body clear of the floor and keep the look light. Measuring 160cm wide, 67.1cm high and 50cm deep, it offers generous internal storage behind the sliding doors, and the top surface is ready for lamps, books or a favourite bit of ceramic. We have kept the assembly straightforward, with a build time of around 20 to 25 minutes, so you can have it in use the same day.

It carries the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® markings, which matter to us. When loading it, please keep to a maximum of 15kg per internal shelf and 50kg on top, with weight evenly distributed across the surface. To care for it, wipe the surfaces with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners on the tambour grooves. Style it with a single tall vase and a low bowl to let the fluted front do the work.
