Description

Light glides across our White Sands surface, catching the gentle curve of the top before settling into the soft matt finish we chose for this cabinet. It sits low and calm, its rounded rectangular body wrapped in fluted tambour doors that slide open rather than swing, curving neatly round both ends so there are no hard corners to interrupt the shape. We wanted a piece that felt quiet in a room, and the pale White Sands tone against the warmth of the Black Oak gives us exactly that. Set a table lamp on top and the fluting picks up the glow in soft vertical lines.

Underneath, four round tapered legs lift the body clear of the floor, keeping the whole thing light on its feet. It measures 67cm in height, 100cm in width and 50cm in depth, and weighs 19.3kg, so two of us can move it into place without much fuss. The tambour doors run smoothly by hand, opening onto shelving that suits everyday storage as well as things you would rather keep out of sight.

For loads, each internal shelf is rated to a maximum of 15kg and the top surface to 50kg, with those figures holding when the weight is spread evenly across the area rather than piled in one spot.
