Description

Our Audacious Black Oak Cabinet in Morning Meadows was made for living rooms and open-plan spaces that call for storage without bulk. This is a low cabinet with a gently rounded rectangular body, a form that softens the lines of a room and lets it sit comfortably against a wall or float as a divider between zones. We love how the fluted tambour sliding doors wrap the front and curve round both ends, giving the piece a continuous, tactile surface rather than the hard edges of a flat-fronted design. Raised on four round tapered legs, it keeps a light footprint underfoot while offering a generous top for lamps, books or a favourite plant.

At 100cm wide, 67cm tall and 50cm deep, it holds a practical amount without dominating, and at 19.3kg it is manageable to position where we want it. The sliding doors move smoothly across the body, so there are no hinged panels swinging into the room, which we find useful in tighter corners and busy hallways. We have set the top to take up to 50kg and each interior shelf to hold up to 15kg, with those figures applying when weight is spread evenly across the surface. Assembly takes around 30 minutes, so it is ready to fill in an afternoon.

The cabinet is made from solid oak, oak veneer, MDF, steel, polyester and artificial leather, a combination we chose for both the Black Oak character and everyday durability. Our textiles here carry the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, part of how we keep our range honest. To care for it, we simply wipe the surfaces with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners on the matt finish. Style it low and uncluttered so the fluted detail and warm Morning Meadows tone lead the eye.
