Our anthracite finish gives this ceiling light a deep, muted grey that settles quietly into a room rather than shouting for attention. We like the way this shade reads almost charcoal against a pale ceiling, holding its own without drawing the eye away from the light it casts. Mounted close to the ceiling as a flat circular disc with a short central boss, it keeps a low, neat profile that suits hallways, landings, kitchens and bedrooms where a hanging fitting would feel too heavy. The anthracite tone works with warm woods and cool greys alike, which is why we find it such an easy piece to place.
