Description

Bringing a soft pool of warm light to a spot that needs it, our Asteria Short LED Wall Light earns its place in the room by doing a clear job well. It is a plug-in fitting, so it works wherever there is a socket nearby, with no need to call in an electrician or open up the wall. A flat circular disc shade sits on a short straight arm, which reaches out from a round wall plate to cast a gentle glow across a reading nook, a hallway, a bedside or a home office. At 15cm in diameter and 9.6cm tall, it keeps a compact footprint while still giving you a proper 500 lumen of light.

We finished this piece in Nuance Mist, a soft muted grey-green that we like against both pale and darker walls. It is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, with a black fabric cable that runs down from the wall plate to a plug, and it comes with a 2.2m black cord so you have room to reach your socket. The built-in 12W panel is rated for 50000 light hours, and with a CRI of 91 and a warm 2700K tone it renders colours honestly and sits easily in the evening. It is dimmable, so you can bring the level down to suit the mood, and it carries CE, UKCA, WEEE and IP2X markings for indoor use.

Assembly takes around ten minutes, and we back the fitting with a 10-year warranty so you can settle it in with confidence. To keep the matt finish looking its best, wipe the disc and arm with a soft dry cloth now and then. If you would like a hardwired version instead, the wider Asteria range covers that, but here we have kept things simple with a plug you can use straight away.
