Description

Our aim with this wall light was to give a room soft, even illumination without asking for much wall in return, and that is exactly what it does for us in a hallway, beside a bed or flanking a mirror. The flat circular disc shade sits parallel to the wall on a short straight arm, casting a gentle wash of 2700K light that reads warm rather than clinical. At 500 lumen with a CRI of 91, it renders colours honestly, and because it is dimmable you can take it from a working brightness down to a low glow when the evening settles. It is rated IP2X for indoor use, so we would keep it to living spaces and landings rather than damp rooms.

The fitting measures 15cm in diameter and 9.6cm high, with a depth of 27.8cm, which keeps it compact enough to sit in a narrow space without crowding it. Here the round wall plate carries the disc in a Steel core colour finished in Nuance Mist, a soft grey-toned shade that we find settles quietly against both pale and darker walls. It is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and the 12W panel is built in, so there is no bulb to source or replace. This is the Hardwired version, which means no cable is visible on the outside of the fitting and the wiring stays tucked away behind the wall plate for a clean, uninterrupted look.

Assembly takes around ten minutes, and we ask that you refer to the hardwire user guide for step by step wiring instructions. The built-in panel is rated for roughly 50000 light hours, and we back the piece with a ten-year warranty. It carries CE, UKCA and WEEE markings. To style it, we like a pair either side of a headboard, or a single fitting where a matt Nuance Mist tone can echo other soft accents in the scheme.
