Description

This Asteria Plus Pendant Light gives you clean, even light without any fuss, and we think it earns its place over a dining table, a kitchen island or a reading corner. The idea is simple: a plain flat circular disc that faces the light downwards where you need it, held on a slim central stem so the shape stays quiet and low profile. In this version we have paired a Black finish with a Steel Top, a combination that keeps the piece grounded while the top catches a little brightness from above. It measures 43cm across and 14cm tall, so it reads as a considered fixture rather than a bulky one.

The light itself is where this pendant does its work. It has a built-in 28W LED panel that puts out 1600 lumen at a warm 3000K, with a CRI of 96 so colours in the room look true and food on the plate looks as it should. It is rated for around 25000 hours, and you can pair it with an external dimmer to soften the level for a slower evening. Assembly takes roughly ten minutes, the included 2.7m black textile cord gives you plenty of room to hang it at the right height, and because it is compatible with track lighting you have some flexibility in how you position it.

The lamp is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and it weighs 2.9kg, so it feels solid without straining a standard ceiling fitting. It carries UKCA, CE and IP2X markings, and we back it with a 10-year warranty. To keep the smooth top and straight rim looking their best, wipe them now and then with a soft dry cloth. Against pale walls or darker joinery the Black finish holds its own, and we like it kept simple.
