Across our Asteria Plus range we stock two sizes and a choice of metal tops, and this is the Medium Brass Top in Black. It reads as a plain flat circular disc with a smooth top and a straight rim, held on a slim central stem, so the shape stays low and quiet above whatever sits below it. The disc measures 43cm in diameter and 14cm in height, and the whole lamp weighs 2.9kg, which keeps it easy to position over a dining table, a kitchen island or a reading nook. We finish the disc in a matt Black that suits both pale and darker rooms.

This pendant light is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and it arrives with a 2.7m black textile cord that gives you room to set the hanging height you want. The built-in 28W LED panel puts out 1600 lumen at a warm 3000K, with a CRI of 96 for accurate, natural colour across skin, food and fabric. Rated for 25000 light hours, it will run for years of everyday use, and it works with an external dimmer if you prefer to soften the light for the evening. It is also compatible with track lighting, so you can fit it into a wider ceiling setup rather than a single fixed point.
