Description

We love the way our Asteria Move Portable Lamp brings soft, moveable light to any corner of a room, letting us carry a gentle glow from the kitchen worktop to the bedside without a trailing cable in sight. Standing 30.6cm tall on a slim stem and round base, this cordless design gives us the freedom to set the mood wherever we happen to be, whether that is beside a book at night, on a dining table for supper, or out on a windowsill as the evening draws in. The flat disc top spreads a warm, even wash rather than a harsh beam, so it settles quietly into a space and works just as well as a companion to larger fixed lighting.

Finished in a clean Pearl White that suits both pared-back and busier interiors, the lamp is built from steel, aluminium and PMMA, giving us a piece that feels solid in the hand at just 1.1kg. Four light steps let us choose the brightness we need, from a low 5 lumen up to 100 lumen, with run times ranging from 168 hours on the softest setting down to 10 hours at full strength. The built-in lithium-ion battery recharges via the included USB-C cable and power adaptor, and it can also sit on a Qi compatible wireless charger if you have one to hand. A CRI of 81 keeps colours looking natural, and the built-in LED panel needs no bulbs to replace.

Setup takes us around five minutes, and the lamp measures 20cm across the base, so it holds its footing on smaller surfaces. It carries UKCA, CE and IP2X markings and comes with our 10-year warranty. To keep the matt Pearl White looking its best, we simply wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. It pairs happily with our wider Asteria range.
