Description

At 30.6cm tall with a 20cm diameter, our Asteria Move Monochrome Portable Lamp is sized to sit neatly on a bedside table, a shelf or a dining setting without crowding the space around it. The design keeps things simple: a flat disc top rests on a slim stem above a round base, so light spills gently downward wherever we place it. Finished in a soft clay tone, it brings a warm, muted colour to a room without shouting for attention. Weighing just 1.1kg, it is easy to pick up and move from one spot to another as the evening goes on.

Because there is a built-in lithium-ion battery, we can use this lamp entirely free of cables once it is charged. A USB-C cable and power adaptor are included in the box, and if you prefer, the lamp can also be topped up on any Qi compatible wireless charger, though that is not supplied. There are four brightness settings to choose from, running from a low 5 lumen glow up to 100 lumen for a brighter pool of light. Runtime depends on the level you pick: expect around 168 hours on the lowest step and roughly 10 hours at full brightness. The built-in LED panel has a CRI of 81, and the lamp carries UKCA, CE and IP2X markings.

Made from steel, aluminium and PMMA, the Asteria Move feels solid and well balanced in the hand while staying light enough to carry room to room. Assembly takes about 5 minutes, so it is ready to use shortly after unboxing. To keep the clay finish looking its best, we suggest wiping it with a soft, dry cloth and avoiding harsh cleaners. It works well grouped with taller floor lamps for layered lighting, or on its own as a quiet companion for reading and relaxed evenings.
