Description

Ready in around 10 minutes, our Asteria Micro pendant is one of the quickest lights we stock to get up and glowing. We include a 4m black cord and a metal canopy in the box, so once you have chosen your drop height there is very little left to do. The disc measures just 15cm across and only 1.5cm high, with a smooth top and a slim central stem, and at 0.78kg it hangs neatly without pulling on the ceiling. It carries CE, UKCA and IP2X markings, and we back it with a 10-year warranty.

The light itself comes from a built-in 12W LED panel that gives 370 lumen at a warm 3000K, which we find sits comfortably over a kitchen island, a bedside spot or a reading nook. It is dimmable, so you can bring it right down for a softer evening mood, and with a CRI of 87 the colours in the room read true. Rated for 25000 hours, the panel is designed to run for years before you need to think about it again. We like how the compact disc keeps the focus on the light rather than the fitting, making it easy to hang two or three in a row where you want a gentle, even wash.

This piece comes in Nuance Olive with a Steel Top, a soft muted green that we think works well against pale walls, wood and warmer metals alike. It is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, giving a slim disc with a clean, matt look that stays understated whether lit or not. To care for it, a dry or barely damp cloth is all we would suggest, keeping moisture away from the fitting. For a coordinated grouping, try clustering several at staggered heights over a dining table or a hallway console.
