Made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, our Asteria Micro pendant is a compact fixture that keeps its footprint small and its presence quiet. We have shaped it as a slim flat circular disc with a smooth top and a neat central stem, so it sits close and clean rather than heavy overhead. At just 15cm in diameter and 1.5cm in height, weighing only 0.78kg, it slips into tighter spots where a larger light would feel cramped, and its Ruby Red colour brings a warm, saturated note to a kitchen island, a hallway or a reading nook.

Inside the disc a 12W LED panel is built in that gives 370 lumen at a 3000K warm white, with a CRI of 87 for colour that reads true across the room. The panel is rated for around 25000 hours, so you can leave the everyday running to us and rarely think about replacements. It carries CE, UKCA and IP2X markings, and arrives ready to hang with a 4m black cord and a metal canopy included. Assembly takes about ten minutes, which makes it an easy job for a single afternoon, and we back the light with a 10-year warranty. Please note this Ruby Red version is not dimmable, so pair it with a switched circuit rather than a dimmer.

We like the Asteria for the way its low profile lets the colour do the work without crowding a ceiling. Hang a single piece above a bedside table or cluster a few at staggered heights over a dining table for a playful run of light. To keep it looking its best, wipe the disc now and then with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners on the acrylic.
