Description

Our polished steel finish gives this wall light a cool, mirror-bright surface that catches daylight and lamplight alike, lending a room a clean, modern edge. The finish carries across the whole piece, from the round wall plate through the long straight arm to the flat disc shade, so the light reads as one continuous line of metal against your wall. We like how the polished steel sits comfortably in a grey or muted scheme, picking up nearby tones without overpowering them, while still holding its own as a working light beside a bed, sofa or reading chair.

Because this is a plug-in design, we have kept things straightforward for you. A 2.2m black fabric cord runs down from the plate to a plug, so there is no need to call in an electrician; you simply mount the lamp and connect it to your nearest socket. Assembly takes around 10 minutes, and the compact form keeps close to the wall at 9cm high and 15cm across the shade, with a depth of 42cm from wall to shade edge. Inside sits a built-in 12W LED panel giving 500 lumen at a warm 2700K, with a high CRI of 91 for true, flattering colour. The lamp is dimmable, so you can soften the output for evenings or turn it up for close work.

The Asteria is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and it is backed with a 10-year warranty and a rated life of at least 50000 lighting hours. It is CE, UKCA, WEEE and IP2X marked for indoor use, so it is suited to hallways, landings and living spaces rather than bathrooms. To care for the polished steel, wipe it now and then with a soft dry cloth to keep the surface bright.
