Description

In our view, good overhead lighting should give a room a clear focal point and a warm glow to gather beneath, and this pendant light does exactly that. The Asteria in Ruby Red brings a soft wash of colour and light to the spaces where you spend the most time, whether that is above the dining table, over a kitchen island or hung low in a reading corner. The form is deliberately clean: a plain flat circular disc with a smooth unbroken top, a straight shallow rim and a single flat diffuser tucked underneath, all held on a slim central stem. Nothing about it is fussy, which lets the light do the talking.

The Mini measures 31cm across and just 3.3cm in height, so it stays neat overhead without crowding a smaller room, and at 1.6kg it is light enough to sit comfortably on the 2.7m black textile cord and metal canopy supplied. It is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and the Steel Top gives the disc a cool, understated finish that reads well against most palettes. The built-in 14W LED panel puts out 900 lumen at 3000K with a CRI of 83, so the warm white light flatters skin tones and furnishings alike, and it is rated for around 25000 light hours. If you want to soften things further, it works with an external dimmer.

Assembly takes about ten minutes, and it carries CE, UKCA, IP2X and cETLus marks for indoor use. We stand behind it with a 10-year warranty, and because the Asteria is designed to move with you, you can give it a new look in minutes by swapping the metal cover.
