Description

Across our Asteria range we stock two sizes and a choice of metal tops, and this is the Mini in Pearl White with a Steel Top. It reads as a plain flat circular disc, with a smooth unbroken top and a straight shallow rim, hung on a slim central stem. There is nothing layered or petalled here and nothing domed; the shape stays clean and quiet, letting the Pearl White finish do the work. We think the pale surface sits happily against most walls and ceilings, which makes this a pendant light we reach for when a room needs light without fuss.

The Mini measures 31cm in diameter and just 3.3cm in height, and it weighs 1.6kg, so it hangs neatly above a dining table, a kitchen island or a hallway. Underneath sits a single flat diffuser that spreads the glow evenly, and the built-in 14W LED panel gives 900 lumen at 3000K with a CRI of 83, so the warm white light stays soft and steady. It is rated for around 25000 light hours and works with an external dimmer, letting you drop the level to suit the time of day. It is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and it comes with a 2.7m black textile cord and a metal canopy for the ceiling.

Assembly takes us about ten minutes, and one of the things we like most is that you can add a new life to your Asteria in minutes simply by changing the metal cover of the lamp later on.
