Description

In our view a good pendant should quietly organise a room, and this is exactly what our Asteria LED Pendant Light does when we hang it above a dining table, a kitchen island or a reading chair. The Mini gives off 900 lumen from a built-in 14W LED panel, casting a warm and gentle glow across the space below without any glare. Its plain flat circular disc has a smooth unbroken top and a straight shallow rim, with a single flat diffuser tucked underneath to soften the light. There is nothing fussy about it, and that is why we like it.

The colour here is Nuance Rose, a soft dusky pink that we find works beautifully against pale walls, natural wood and muted textiles. It sits on a slim central stem and comes finished with a Steel Top, so the piece reads as calm and understated rather than showy. Made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, the Mini measures 31cm in diameter and just 3.3cm in height, and weighs only 1.6kg, so it feels light and easy to live with in smaller rooms or grouped in pairs. It arrives with a 2.7m black textile cord and a metal canopy, and we reckon assembly takes around ten minutes.

Should your scheme change over time, it is made simple to swap the metal cover of the lamp for a fresh look in minutes, so one fitting can serve you for years. The built-in LED offers a CRI of 83 at 3000K, runs to roughly 25000 light hours and can be dimmed with an external dimmer. It is CE, UKCA, IP2X and cETLus marked for indoor use, and we back it with a 10-year warranty. To care for it, we suggest a dry or barely damp cloth. Bulb replacement is not needed, as the panel is built in.
