Description

At 43cm in diameter, our Asteria LED Pendant Light in Medium is a generous circle of light that is designed to sit comfortably above a dining table, kitchen island or reading corner. It stands just 4cm tall, so the plain flat disc reads as a clean line overhead rather than a bulky fitting, and at 2.5kg it hangs easily from the included metal canopy. We finished this one in Black, with a matt Black Top that keeps the smooth unbroken surface understated whichever way you look at it from below.

The form is deliberately simple: a circular disc with a straight shallow rim, one flat diffuser tucked underneath and a slim central stem holding it all together. Inside sits a 16W LED panel giving 1300 lumen, rated at 25000 hours, so we expect it to serve you for years before you think about the light source again. The colour temperature is a warm 3000K with a CRI of 83, which we chose for softer, more relaxed rooms rather than a cold clinical glow. It is dimmable with an external dimmer, letting you drop the level for evenings without swapping anything out. The 2.7m black textile cord gives you room to hang it at the height you want over a table or bench.

The Asteria is made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and assembly takes around ten minutes with the canopy and cord supplied. It carries CE, UKCA, IP2X and cETLus markings and is rated for indoor use, backed by our ten-year warranty. One detail we like: you can give this pendant a new look later by changing the metal cover of the lamp, so the fitting adapts as your room does.
