This rechargeable floor lamp runs on a built-in battery and is finished with a handmade 25cm Ivy shade in vintage white cotton mix fabric, edged with an almond white taped trim. Because it charges rather than plugs in, it needs no cable to a socket and can stand anywhere. It rises 1400mm on a slim 250mm base and weighs just 2.1kg, so it is easy to lift and move. A three-stage touch dimmer sets the integrated LED from a low glow to a brighter warm white at 2700K.

Its portability means it can go where wired lamps cannot, from a bedside to a reading chair or a spot with no socket nearby, and the aged brass base with a soft white shade keeps it looking classic.
