Description

The Ashbury is a sculptured ceramic table lamp, hand-decorated and finished in an ivory crackle glaze that gives its surface a softly aged look. It is a large piece at 660mm tall with a 350mm shade and a weight of 4.3kg, pairing an aged brass plated stem with a switched B22 metal lamp holder and a natural colour braided flex. The 35cm Ikat shade is a gathered, pleated design in digitally printed marlin blue faux silk, a deeper, richer partner for the pale crackle base. It takes one B22 bulb up to 10W and works with B22 LED lamps.

Because of its scale, it belongs on a solid sideboard, a console or a hall table, where it throws a broad, warm pool of light and carries the corner of a room by itself. The ivory base keeps the overall look grounded and neutral, while the marlin blue shade brings colour, so it works in traditional and country rooms and in modern spaces that like a strong accent.
