Description

The Arum is a traditional table lamp built around a hand-painted Chinese porcelain jar base depicting arum lilies and foliage in green, cream and ochre tones against a pale celadon ground. The jar sits on a dark wood plinth and is topped with an aged brass finial and a cream polycotton knife-pleat shade that diffuses light softly across the width of the shade.

Designed for side tables, bedside positions and console surfaces in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, the Arum provides ambient light through the fabric shade while the porcelain base remains unlit, acting as a decorative element even when the lamp is switched off. The 450mm overall height suits standard bedside tables and low console units without obstructing sightlines across a room.

The porcelain base is hand-painted, so the placement and intensity of the floral motifs vary slightly between individual lamps.
