Description

The Artisan is a magnetic track spotlight with a 12W integrated LED delivering cool white 4000K light through a cylindrical black aluminium body. The spotlight clips magnetically onto Maytoni's Exility track system (sold separately) and rotates 355° on its base plus tilts 90° on the vertical axis, allowing precise directional control for accent and task lighting.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail spaces and galleries where focused downlight or wall-washing is needed, the Artisan pairs with other magnetic spotlights on the same track to create a multi-head system. The magnetic mounting means individual heads can be repositioned along the track without tools, making it simple to reconfigure lighting as room layouts change. The track operates on DC 48V low voltage supplied by a separate driver unit.

The diamond-patterned texture moulded into the cylindrical shade body gives the spotlight a tactile surface finish that reduces fingerprint visibility compared to smooth black aluminium. A HoneyComb-D38 anti-glare filter sits behind the front lens, softening the beam spread and reducing direct glare when the spotlight is angled towards eye level. The 5.2cm diameter head and 12.5cm overall height keep the visual weight low when multiple heads are installed on a single track.

The aluminium construction and IP20 rating suit indoor dry locations only. The cool white 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral light that works in task-heavy environments like kitchens and workspaces where accurate colour rendering matters, but may read as clinical in living rooms or bedrooms where warmer light temperatures are typically preferred. Does this include the track?

No. The Artisan spotlight is sold as an individual head that clips onto Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system. The track, power supply driver and end caps are purchased separately. Contact us if you need help specifying a complete system.

What voltage does it run on?

The spotlight operates on DC 48V low voltage supplied through the magnetic track. The track connects to a mains-to-DC driver unit (sold separately) that converts standard 230V mains to the required 48V DC output.

Can the spotlight be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The magnetic mounting allows the spotlight to be moved along the track by hand without tools. The track must be powered off before repositioning heads for safety.

Is 4000K suitable for living spaces?

4000K is a cool white temperature that produces neutral, slightly blue-toned light suited to kitchens, offices and task areas. For living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, most users prefer warmer temperatures around 2700K-3000K. Maytoni offers warmer variants in the Artisan range.
