Description

At 43.4cm tall with a diameter of 35.4cm, our Around The World pendant lampshade in its Large size makes a real impression overhead. This is the biggest option in the range, so it holds its own in taller rooms and over larger surfaces where a smaller shade would look lost. The egg-shaped form is at its widest low down and rises to a small flat canopy, giving it a rounded, tapered profile that reads well from every angle. It weighs 2.8kg, and we think the proportions suit a generous hallway, a landing, or a spot above the dining table.

Look closely and you will see the shade is built from fine horizontal ribbed bands rather than a smooth surface, so the light plays across the texture as it passes through. We have finished this one with a black metal top, which frames the glass neatly and grounds the whole piece against paler ceilings and walls. Made from steel and glass, it feels solid in the hand and is designed to last, backed by our 2-year warranty. Do note that the Large is only compatible with our Cord Set Pro, so please pair it accordingly when you plan your fitting.

Fitting is quick, with an assembly time of around 5 minutes, and it takes an E27 bulb up to a maximum of 15W LED. We recommend an opal glass bulb for a soft, even glow, though this is not included so you can choose the colour temperature that suits your space, perhaps a warm 2700K for a cosy feel. Whether you hang it alone or group a few together at staggered heights, we find this pendant lampshade brings quiet character to a room without overwhelming it.
