Description

The Arion is a single-light pendant built around a wide 450mm flat disc shade in matt black metal, suspended on a black fabric cable with a matching cylindrical canopy. A single E27 bulb fitting sits exposed beneath the shade, directing light downwards while the wide disc provides an upper shadow zone and defines the pendant's visual footprint from below.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars, the Arion works best where the pendant is the primary task light over a defined surface area. The 450mm diameter gives enough spread to light a 900-1200mm wide table or worktop without needing multiple fittings. The 2000mm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang 700-900mm above the surface depending on ceiling height. The E27 fitting accepts any standard bulb up to 60W (sold separately), and the pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.

The matt black finish on the metal shade pairs cleanly with monochrome, industrial and Scandinavian interiors. The exposed bulb design means the choice of bulb becomes part of the look — a clear filament bulb gives a warmer, more decorative effect, while a frosted or opal LED provides more diffused task light. The shade's wide flat profile gives the Arion a strong horizontal presence without the mass of a deeper drum or bowl pendant.

The Arion takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED or a decorative filament-style bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K for dining and kitchen use.

For a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface. The 2000mm cable is adjustable on installation to suit different ceiling heights. Rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m may need the cable shortened further.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Arion is suitable for dry indoor spaces only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor locations.
