Description
The Ardent Medium is a 520mm column pendant built from two natural Spanish alabaster cylinders stacked vertically and joined by a brushed brass collar. Each cylinder measures 80mm in diameter, and brushed brass caps anchor the top fixing point and base of the fitting. An integrated 3000K LED runs inside the column, lighting both stone sections from within rather than projecting downward from a single point.
The narrow 80mm diameter and 520mm drop suit positions where a slim vertical light is wanted: alongside a bedside table, flanking a bathroom mirror, over a hallway console, or hung in a row above a kitchen island. The black suspension cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at table-level reading height or higher as ambient light. Hung in pairs or threes, the columns read as a coordinated grouping rather than a single feature.
Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural stone, so the soft white surface shows different patterns of grey and warm mineral veining between pieces. When the LED is on, light passes through the stone and picks out the internal layering, giving the column a soft, even glow rather than a hot spot. The brushed brass collar between the two sections and the matching brass fittings at top and base add warm metallic punctuation against the cool white of the stone.

Frequently Asked
What colour temperature does the LED produce?
The integrated LED is rated at 3000K, a warm white that complements the natural soft white tone of the alabaster and suits living, dining and bedroom settings.
Can I hang several Ardent pendants in a row?
Yes. The slim 80mm diameter and 520mm height make the Ardent well suited to multi-pendant arrangements. Two or three units in a row work over a kitchen island; pairs are common either side of a bed or bathroom mirror. Each pendant has its own ceiling fixing point, so spacing is set on installation.
Will the alabaster on each pendant look the same?
No. Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral variation and translucency differ between pieces. When ordering multiples, expect coordinated tone rather than identical pattern — this is a characteristic of the natural material.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe the stone gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the alabaster and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as the stone is porous.
