Ardent LED Alabaster Column Pendant Light - Brushed Brass

The Ardent is a 760mm vertical column pendant built from three 80mm-diameter natural Spanish alabaster cylinders, stacked in line and separated by brushed brass spacers. An integrated LED inside the column casts warm 3000K light through the stone, so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser and the brass spacers register as fine horizontal bands of warm metal between the lit sections.

The slim cylindrical profile and tall vertical drop suit stairwells, double-height entrance halls, and bedside positions either side of a bed where a hanging light replaces a table lamp. Hung in pairs or threes above a kitchen island, the Ardent creates a rhythm of vertical columns rather than the horizontal spread of conventional pendants. The black flex suspension allows the drop to be set during installation to suit the ceiling height.

Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural stone, so the soft white surface carries individual veining and subtle grey and warm mineral variation. Lit from within, the translucency of the alabaster highlights this marbling and gives a layered glow rather than a flat surface light. The brushed brass top cap, intermediate spacers and base disc are solid copper with a brushed brass finish that softens reflections and pairs with both warm-toned and cooler interior palettes.

Where does the Ardent work best?

The 760mm vertical drop and slim 80mm diameter make this pendant well suited to stairwells, double-height halls, and either side of a bed in place of a bedside lamp. Hung in groups of two or three above a kitchen island, the columns read as a rhythm of vertical lights rather than a horizontal row.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces and between the three sections within a single pendant. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED runs at 3000K, a warm white that suits residential interiors and pairs naturally with the soft white of the alabaster. The light source is built into the column and is not user-replaceable.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the surface.
