Description

The Arcus is a 2m matt black profile cover designed to clip onto Arcus LED strip profiles, protecting the LED strip from dust and physical contact while diffusing the light output evenly along the length of the run. The cover is manufactured from rigid aluminium with a matt black powder-coated finish and measures 16mm wide by 4mm in projection.

Designed for both recessed and surface-mounted LED strip installations in residential, retail and hospitality settings, the cover transforms a bare LED strip into a more polished linear light fitting. The matt black finish suits contemporary interiors, dark ceilings, feature wall recesses and under-cabinet lighting where a neutral profile is required. The 2m length allows continuous coverage for standard LED strip runs without joints.

The cover clips into the sides of the Arcus profile channel without tools, holding securely once pressed into place but remaining removable if the LED strip needs to be accessed for replacement or maintenance. The aluminium construction conducts heat away from the LED strip, helping to extend the operating life of the diodes. The 4mm projection sits flush with most Arcus profile types, maintaining a low-profile appearance once installed.

Does this cover fit all Arcus profile types?

The Arcus cover is designed to fit standard Arcus LED strip profiles from Ideal Lux. Check the profile width specification before ordering — the cover clips into profiles designed to accept a 16mm-wide cover.

Does it diffuse the LED light or is it transparent?

The cover diffuses the light output, softening the appearance of individual LED diodes and creating a more continuous line of light along the profile run. It is not transparent.

Can the cover be cut to length?

Yes. Aluminium profile covers can be cut to length using a fine-tooth hacksaw or a mitre saw with an appropriate blade. Deburr the cut edge before installing.

Is it removable after installation?

Yes. The cover clips into the profile channel and can be removed by hand if access to the LED strip is needed for maintenance or replacement.
