Description

The Arcus is a 1m white aluminium cover designed to clip onto LED profile channels housing LED strip tape. The cover measures 15mm wide by 5mm deep in cross-section and acts as both a physical shield for the LED strip beneath and a diffuser to soften the direct glare from individual diodes on the tape.

Fitted over recessed or surface-mounted LED profiles in kitchens, under cabinets, retail shelving, office desks and workshop benches, the cover prevents dust accumulation on the LED strip surface and protects against accidental contact damage. The white finish softens the light output compared to a clear cover, turning the profile into a continuous line of light rather than showing individual LED hotspots when viewed from certain angles.

The aluminium construction provides durability without adding significant weight to the profile assembly, and the material conducts heat away from the LED strip to maintain consistent brightness over long run times. The 1m length can be cut to size with a hacksaw or metal snips during installation to fit shorter profile runs, and multiple covers can be butted together end-to-end for longer installations exceeding 1m.

The Arcus cover fits Ideal Lux LED profile channels with a 15x5mm internal aperture. Check the profile specification before ordering to confirm compatibility, as different profiles accept different cover widths.

Can the cover be cut to length?

Yes. The 1m aluminium extrusion can be cut with a hacksaw, angle grinder or metal snips to fit shorter profile runs. Deburr the cut edge with a file before installation.

Does the white finish diffuse the LED light?

Yes. The white aluminium softens the direct output from LED strip tape and reduces visible hotspots from individual diodes compared to a clear or transparent cover. This creates a more continuous line of light when viewed from the side or at an angle.
