The Arc is a floor lamp built around a single polished chrome column that flares into a tulip-shaped base, supporting a 500mm diameter tapered shade made from semi-transparent chrome-finished PVC. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the shade, casting diffused light through the translucent material rather than directing it downward.

Designed for ambient lighting in living rooms, bedrooms and home offices, the Arc suits spaces where a ceiling pendant is impractical or where additional soft light is needed alongside existing fittings. What bulb does it take?

The Arc takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-12W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, though the translucent chrome shade also works with cooler 4000K bulbs in modern settings.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The lamp itself has no dimming function. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible plug-in dimmer or smart bulb system, dimming is possible, but this depends on the bulb and control system rather than the lamp.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Arc to dry indoor areas. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher, and kitchens near sinks or cookers also benefit from splash protection.

How is the chrome shade cleaned?

Wipe the chrome PVC shade with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the material and do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents that might damage the PVC finish.
