Description

The Antic is a single-pendant light built around a cylindrical frosted glass tube with vertical ribbing, suspended from a polished gold canopy on a height-adjustable cable. The glass shade measures 10cm in diameter and diffuses light through its corrugated surface, which scatters the beam and softens harsh shadows from the E14 bulb inside (sold separately).

Designed for placement over kitchen islands, side tables, narrow console areas or in clusters above dining tables, the Antic sits within a 187.5cm maximum drop range adjustable down to a 39cm minimum. The narrow 10cm footprint allows multiple units to be positioned 30-40cm apart without visual clutter, making this pendant well-suited to linear arrangements or asymmetric groupings where varied heights add interest. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

The polished gold finish on the metal canopy and decorative sphere joint reflects ambient light and complements warm-toned interiors, brass hardware and natural timber furniture. The frosted ribbed glass presents as translucent rather than opaque, so the bulb outline remains faintly visible when lit — pairing with a warm-white LED filament bulb enhances this effect. The maximum 40W rating per fitting supports both LED and halogen E14 lamps.

The Antic takes a single E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 40W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED candle or golf ball bulb at 2700K-3000K to balance the frosted glass diffusion.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The cable allows adjustment between 39cm minimum and 187.5cm maximum drop during installation. This makes the pendant suitable for both standard 2.4m ceiling heights and higher vaulted ceilings.

Is the glass opaque or translucent?

The glass is frosted and ribbed, making it translucent rather than fully opaque. The bulb outline remains faintly visible when lit, so the choice of bulb style affects the appearance — a visible-filament LED enhances the effect.

Can multiple units be grouped together?

Yes. The narrow 10cm diameter allows multiple Antic pendants to be spaced 30-40cm apart without crowding. Varying the drop heights between units creates visual interest over kitchen islands or dining tables.
