Description
The Ambience is a single-head LED wall spotlight with an adjustable cylindrical head mounted on a brushed nickel aluminium backplate. The integrated LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a focused reflector, and the head pivots on a ball joint to direct the beam onto a reading position, artwork, or specific task area. A rocker switch on the backplate controls on/off without needing to reach for a wall switch.
Designed for bedside reading, beside a sofa, above a desk, or as accent lighting for framed artwork, the Ambience suits rooms where directed light is needed in a fixed position. The 85mm square backplate keeps the fitting compact against the wall, and the 85mm projection means the head sits close to the surface when angled downwards for reading. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installation.
The brushed nickel finish softens reflections compared to polished chrome and pairs comfortably with cooler-toned interiors, stainless steel hardware, and contemporary or industrial schemes. The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at approximately 200g, making it suitable for installation on plasterboard walls with standard wall plugs. The integrated LED is rated at 3000K and is non-dimmable, providing consistent warm white light when switched on.

Frequently Asked
Is the Ambience dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed output when switched on. The on/off rocker switch on the backplate provides the only control.
How much does the head adjust?
The cylindrical head pivots on a ball joint, allowing it to be angled downwards for reading, directed horizontally for wall washing, or pointed upwards for indirect lighting. The joint holds position once set and does not require tightening.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must be used in dry indoor areas only. For bathroom use, an IP44-rated wall light is required.
What fixing is included?
The Ambience is supplied with screws and wall plugs suitable for solid walls. For plasterboard installation, use appropriate hollow-wall fixings rated for the weight of the fitting (approximately 200g).
