Description

The Alfa is a 7W LED magnetic track downlight with a cylindrical white aluminium body and a black interior baffle, designed to clip onto 48V DC magnetic track systems. The integrated LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a directional beam that can be angled by rotating the head on the magnetic mount, allowing the spotlight to be repositioned without tools.

Designed for retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen worktop task lighting and feature wall accent lighting, the Alfa pairs with magnetic track systems where multiple spotlights need to be repositioned as layouts change. The magnetic mount holds the downlight securely to the track while allowing it to be slid along the rail and rotated through 350° horizontally and tilted vertically to direct the beam. The white exterior finish blends with white or light-coloured ceilings, while the black interior baffle reduces glare and keeps the light source recessed inside the housing.

The aluminium construction keeps the weight low at approximately 200g per fitting, minimising load on the track rail. The cylindrical housing measures 53mm diameter and 104mm height, with a 193mm projection from the track when tilted. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces. The 48V DC low-voltage supply (track transformer sold separately) allows multiple Alfa downlights to run on a single circuit with reduced electrical hazard compared to mains-voltage track systems. The integrated LED has a rated 5-year warranty from Maytoni.

What track system does this fit?

The Alfa is designed for 48V DC magnetic track systems. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track lighting rails. The magnetic mount allows the downlight to clip onto compatible track without tools and to be repositioned by sliding along the rail.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates 350° horizontally on the magnetic mount and tilts vertically, allowing the beam to be directed at feature walls, artwork, retail displays or worktop surfaces. Adjustments are made by hand without tools.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The rated lifespan is typically 25,000-50,000 hours depending on operating conditions. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Maytoni.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces away from water splash zones. The low-voltage DC supply reduces electrical hazard, but the fitting itself is not rated for bathroom zones.
