Description

The Aldworth is a wooden table lamp built around a hand turned spindle base and topped with a handmade 20cm Zigzag shade in digitally printed faux silk. The base stands 380mm tall with a 200mm diameter, a compact size that sits easily on a side table, shelf or windowsill. It takes a single B22 bayonet bulb up to 7W and pairs well with warm LED lamps. A brass B22 switched lamp holder and grey braided fabric flex give it a neat, considered look from base to shade.

This is a table lamp for classic and country-style rooms, and it suits a living room, hallway or bedroom where you want a soft pool of light rather than bright overhead lighting. The switched holder lets you turn it on and off at the lamp itself, so it works nicely on a bedside table or a console by the front door. You can choose from four painted spindle finishes, Pink Clay, Natural Ash, Marlin Blue and Cotswold Green, each matched to a colour co-ordinated pleated shade.

The turned wooden base is painted in a soft satin colour, while the tapered shade is gathered and pleated by hand with taped edge detailing and a plain inner lining. The wiring is Class 1 earthed and the lamp carries an IP20 rating, so keep it to dry indoor rooms and away from splashes. To care for it, wipe the base with a soft dry cloth and lift dust from the shade with a soft brush.
