The Aldworth is a turned spindle wall light shaped from natural ash, with the grain of the solid wood left on show and a brass B22 lampholder set at the top. It is a slim, upright fitting, standing 232mm high and 110mm wide with a 145mm projection, so it holds close to the wall. The wood is sustainably sourced and the metalwork is brass, giving a warm, natural pairing. It is supplied as a fitting to take your choice of shade, and it is fully dimmable when used with a compatible bulb and dimmer.

This one is made for classic and country-leaning interiors, and it looks at home in a hallway, a bedroom, or beside a favourite reading chair. Because it takes a standard 16 or 20cm fabric shade, you can set the tone yourself, from a plain linen for something quiet to a printed pattern for a little character. Fitted in pairs it frames a bed or a console neatly, and a single light works well on a landing or in an alcove where a softer, homely feel is wanted.

The spindle is turned from solid ash and finished to let the natural tone come through, while the B22 holder is authentic brass for a considered look. To keep it well, dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid damp or oily cleaners that could mark the timber.
