Description

This pendant brings a relaxed, natural look, weaving raffia twine into an elongated oval shade with a soft, tactile finish. A white inner diffuser sits behind the weave to even out the glow, while the metalwork is painted matt black for a clean contrast. It measures 420mm across and drops to as much as 1540mm, with a single E27 lamp inside that runs on LED bulbs. The result is a warm, gently patterned light that filters through the natural woven shade.

The easy, coastal feel suits a kitchen, dining space, bedroom or living room, and it sits comfortably in boho and organic-leaning schemes. Hung over an island or a dining table it gives a soft, welcoming glow, while the neutral natural tone settles against most walls and worktops. Being dimmable, it adapts from bright task light for cooking to a lower, calmer level for evenings, so it works across the different moods a busy room moves through during the day.

The shade is woven natural rattan with a white inner diffuser, and the fittings are painted matt black. A 1.2 metre black flex lets you set the drop, and the fitting is height adjustable at installation. Dust the weave gently with a soft brush or cloth to keep it clean. We call this piece the Aldstead, and it is also offered in a rounded globe shape within the range if you prefer a fuller silhouette over the same natural look.
