Description

Formed from a cluster of mesh triangles, this single pendant has an angular, geometric shape that casts a patterned light across the ceiling and walls once lit. The open framed metal shade is finished in polished chrome, so it stays bright and reflective, and the cut-out sections let light spill out at interesting angles. It measures 320mm in diameter and hangs from a height adjustable black flex of up to one metre, with an overall drop from 450mm to 1350mm. A single E27 lampholder sits inside, rated up to 60W, and the fitting is dimmable and suited to LED lamps.

With its modern industrial look, the Aldford works well over a kitchen island, a breakfast bar or a hallway, and pairs neatly with an exposed filament LED lamp to make the most of the open frame. It suits pared-back and urban interiors, and because it is a single pendant it can be hung on its own or grouped in a row over a longer run. The compact 320mm shade keeps it in proportion in smaller rooms as well as larger, open-plan spaces.

The metalwork is polished chrome plated, hung on a black flex that adjusts to your ceiling height at the time of fitting. Being dimmable, it can be set from bright task light down to a low glow with a compatible dimmer. As a Class 1 fitting it needs an earth connection and is best installed by a qualified electrician, while the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. To keep the chrome clean, switch off and wipe with a soft, dry cloth, buffing off any marks gently rather than using abrasive sprays. A matching copper plated version is also available if you prefer a warmer tone.
