Description

The Aldfield nine-light pendant is the grand size in the range, a wide cascade of twisted clear glass rods held in a warm brushed aged brass frame. With nine lamps and a 650mm frame, it throws plenty of light and plenty of sparkle, the rods layered in tiers so the glow steps down through the fitting. It is a generous, rounded shape made to anchor a large room. It takes nine E14 lamps and weighs close to 10kg, so a solid ceiling fixing matters.

This is the size for bigger rooms and taller ceilings, over a long dining table, in a double-height hallway or above a stairwell where it can be seen from more than one floor. The wide spread of glass fills the space overhead and makes a warm focal point, while the brass frame keeps it grounded rather than glitzy. It suits homes that want a bold centrepiece without a heavy fabric shade.

The frame is finished in brushed aged brass and the clear glass rods give the pendant its shimmer across all nine lights. The drop adjusts from 510mm to 1910mm on a 1.5 metre chain, so you can hang it high in an open space or lower over a table. It is a Class 2 double insulated fitting and does not need an earth at the fitting, while the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. It is dimmable with a compatible trailing edge dimmer and dimmable E14 lamps. Given the weight, fit it to a sound ceiling. Wipe the glass and brass with a dry, soft cloth. Smaller one and five-light sizes are also available.
