Description

The Aethera is a 450mm diameter drum pendant with a black fabric outer shade and white inner diffuser, suspended on a black braided cable from a ceiling rose. The cylindrical shade conceals a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately), and the white lining inside the drum reflects light downward while preventing visible hot spots from the bare bulb.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and bedroom lighting where even downward spread is needed, the Aethera works best positioned 700-900mm above a table surface or worktop. The 2000mm cable is adjustable during installation, allowing the pendant to be shortened to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m up to 3.5m. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only.

The black fabric shade is a tightly-woven textile with a matt surface that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, so the pendant itself remains visually dark when the bulb is off. When lit, the white inner lining directs most of the bulb's output downward in a wide pool, with minimal upward spill. The 450mm diameter and 770mm height give the pendant enough visual weight to anchor a dining table for four to six people without overpowering smaller breakfast tables or kitchen peninsulas.
