Description

Light settles softly across our A Conversation Piece Tall Oak Lounge Chair, catching the upright shell and the open oak frame beneath it. The tall back curves inward at the top like a pair of wings, gathering you in and giving the whole piece a quiet sense of shelter. We chose Oak for the frame because its pale, warm grain reads clearly under a table lamp or in daylight from a window, and the Black upholstery sits against it with an easy contrast. As the hours change, the dark shell holds depth while the cross-rails and legs stay bright, so the chair never looks flat in a corner of the room.

It is made from solid oak, plywood, MDF and PUR, with a polyester upholstery that keeps its shape through everyday use. The high back stands 106cm tall, with a width of 73cm and a depth of 93cm, so it fills a reading nook or the space beside a sofa without crowding it. At 19.5kg it is steady on the floor yet light enough for us to move when a room needs rearranging. Assembly takes around 20 minutes and we include a short video to walk you through the frame and cross-rails, so there is no guesswork before you sit down.
