Description

Our lounge chair is built from solid oak, plywood, MDF and PUR, with a polyester covering drawn from the Horizons S, Teddy Bear and Hope leather textile ranges, pairing a warm natural frame with a soft, generous shell. We finish the oak in Black Oak, a deep tone that grounds the piece, and we upholster the seat and back in Black. The result is a high-backed lounge chair that reads as both a place to sit and a considered object in the room, which is exactly what we set out to make.

The form is what gives it presence. A tall upholstered shell rises and curves inward at the top, closing in at the sides like wings, so the chair holds you rather than simply supporting you. It sits on an open solid-oak frame with cross-rails, which keeps the base light and lets the timber show through beneath the padded shell. At 106cm tall, 73cm wide and 93cm deep, it has real scale without crowding a space, and at 19.5kg it stays steady on the floor while remaining easy enough to shift when you rearrange. You can place it beside a table lamp for reading, or set it apart as its own quiet corner.
