Description
Solid oak in a warm natural finish forms the open frame of our A Conversation Piece Oak Ottoman, a low upholstered piece that suits a reading corner, a fireside spot or the foot of a bed. The oak is left honest and unfussy, with cross-rails linking the legs so the whole thing feels grounded without turning bulky. We upholster the top in a Brown polyester covering, a soft mid-tone that sits happily against neutral walls and richer floor colours alike. At 43cm high, 63cm wide and 50cm deep, it slots into tight footprints while still giving you somewhere to rest your feet or set down a tray.
The seat is built on a plywood and MDF base, with PUR and polyester giving the padding its shape and the covering its handle. This particular ottoman comes in the one Brown covering shown, so there is nothing to configure. At 7kg it is light enough to move between rooms on your own, and the open oak frame keeps it looking airy rather than heavy in a smaller space.
Assembly takes around 20 minutes with the fixings we include, so you are not left wrestling with it for an afternoon. This furniture is tested against the EN 16139-L1 Furniture Standard and ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 for public and lounge seating, and the covering carries STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® along with the Global Recycled Standard. Use it as extra perching space when friends come round, as a footstool by an armchair, or simply as a low surface that pulls a room together.
