Description
Solid oak in a warm, natural finish forms the open frame of our Conversation Piece Ottoman, paired with a deep black upholstered top that sits neatly across the cross-rails. This ottoman is low and easy to move around a room, with the plywood and PUR seat giving it a soft, cushioned surface and the timber frame keeping everything grounded. The oak has been left to show its own grain, so no two pieces are quite alike, and we like how the pale wood balances against the darker black covering.
At 43cm high, 63cm wide and 50cm deep, it slots in front of a sofa or against the foot of a bed without dominating the space, and at just 7kg it is light enough to shift as your seating plan changes. The cross-rails brace the frame, so it stays steady whether you rest your feet on it or use it as extra perching space when guests arrive. It suits a hallway, a reading corner or a living room where you want something practical that still looks considered.
Assembly takes around 20 minutes, and we supply everything you need to fix the top to the frame. This ottoman is tested to recognised standards, so it carries the EN 16139-L1 Furniture Standard, the Global Recycled Standard, ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 for Public and Lounge Seating and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, which covers the textiles used in the upholstery. That gives us confidence in how it holds up to daily use, and we hope it earns its keep in your home for years to come.
