Description
Solid oak forms the open frame of our Conversation Piece Black Oak Ottoman, and we have paired that Black Oak timber with a Black polyester covering over a shaped cushion. The frame keeps a low, honest profile, with cross-rails running between the legs so you can see straight through to the floor beneath. Beyond the solid oak, the seat is built on plywood, MDF and PUR, and it is finished with a Black upholstery drawn from the Horizons S, Teddy Bear and Hope leather textiles.
At 43cm high, 63cm wide and 50cm deep, this ottoman sits comfortably in front of a sofa or at the foot of a bed, and it stays easy to move at just 7kg. It is a low upholstered piece rather than a chair, so it works as a place to rest your feet, to perch for a moment, or to hold a tray when you draw it up beside an armchair in a living room. The open oak frame means it never feels heavy in a room, and the Black covering keeps it quiet against brighter walls or busier rugs. We think of it as one of those pieces that earns its keep in more than one spot.
This ottoman carries the EN 16139-L1 Furniture Standard, the Global Recycled Standard, ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 for Public and Lounge Seating and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, so you know what has gone into it. Assembly takes around 20min, and the parts go together without fuss.
