Description

The Knightsbridge 9W LED bulkhead is a wall and ceiling-mountable luminaire built from white polycarbonate with an opal diffuser and an IP65 rating for outdoor and wet-area use. The integrated LED array provides three selectable colour temperatures — 3000K warm white (730lm), 4000K neutral white (810lm), or 5700K cool daylight (780lm) — switched via a selector on the hinged gear tray before installation.

Designed for external building entrances, covered walkways, parking areas, stairwells, garages, commercial loading bays and wet utility rooms, the bulkhead mounts directly to brick, block or rendered surfaces using the rear baseplate. The 256mm diameter and 74mm projection suit locations where low-profile lighting is needed but a flush recessed fitting is not practical. The hinged gear tray gives access to the constant-current driver and push-fit terminal block, so cable connection and CCT selection can be completed without removing the diffuser or baseplate.

The polycarbonate body and diffuser are impact-resistant to IK08 and suited to high-traffic or vandal-prone areas. The Class II construction means no earth connection is required, simplifying installation in older buildings or locations where earthing is difficult. The 115-degree beam angle provides wide, even coverage across doorways and garage forecourts. The LED array is rated for 50,000-hour L70B50 lifespan, meaning 70% of the initial lumen output is maintained after 50,000 hours under typical operating conditions.

How do I change the colour temperature?

The CCT selector is on the hinged gear tray inside the fitting. Before installation, open the tray and slide the switch to select 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white), or 5700K (cool daylight). Once the fitting is mounted and powered, the colour temperature is fixed until you access the selector again.

Can this be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating means the bulkhead is sealed against dust ingress and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction, making it suitable for external walls, covered walkways, garage forecourts and other outdoor applications.

Is this bulkhead dimmable?

No. The constant-current driver does not support dimming. The fitting operates at full output when powered.

What's the difference between the three lumen outputs?

The warm white (3000K) setting produces 730lm, the neutral white (4000K) setting produces 810lm, and the cool daylight (5700K) setting produces 780lm. The variation is due to the different spectral efficiency of the LEDs at each colour temperature.
