Description

The Knightsbridge BT9ACTCH is a 9W LED bulkhead light with adjustable colour temperature (CCT), switchable between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5700K cool daylight via a selector on the hinged gear tray. The circular fitting has a 256mm diameter chrome-effect polycarbonate bezel surrounding an opal polycarbonate diffuser, which houses an integrated SMD LED array delivering 730-810 lumens depending on the selected CCT. The fitting carries an IP65 rating, making it weatherproof for external wall and soffit mounting as well as internal ceiling and corridor use.

Designed for commercial, industrial and multi-occupancy residential buildings, the bulkhead suits loading bays, car parks, stairwells, external doorways, communal corridors and utility areas where IP65-rated overhead or wall-mounted lighting is required. The low-profile 74mm projection minimises head clearance impact when ceiling-mounted in passageways under 2.4m height. The hinged gear tray allows access to the wiring terminals and CCT selector without removing the entire fitting from the ceiling or wall, and the push-fit terminal block accepts solid or stranded cable without screwdrivers.

The chrome-effect finish is applied to polycarbonate rather than metal, keeping the fitting lightweight (under 1kg) and resistant to UV degradation and salt corrosion in coastal or high-humidity environments. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required, simplifying installation in older buildings where earthing may not be present at every lighting point.
