Description

The Maytoni Trinity swivel connector joins two sections of 3-phase surface-mounted track at a variable angle, allowing track layouts to turn corners or follow non-linear ceiling runs. The connector carries all three phases through the joint, maintaining full circuit continuity across the angle. A single central pivot bolt lets the two track arms rotate relative to each other, locking at any angle from straight-through to 90-degree turns.

Designed for retail, hospitality, gallery and residential installations where track lighting needs to follow L-shapes, T-junctions or custom ceiling configurations, the swivel connector gives more layout flexibility than fixed-angle corner pieces. The 22.5cm arm length on each side of the pivot provides clearance for track-mounted spotlights or pendants positioned close to the join. The black plastic housing matches Maytoni's Trinity track range and sits flush with the track profile when installed.

The connector is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and handles AC 220-240V across all three phases. Installation involves sliding each arm into the end of a track section, tightening the locking screws to secure electrical contact, then adjusting the angle and tightening the central pivot bolt. The plastic construction keeps weight low — important when extending track runs across plasterboard ceilings — while the internal copper contacts maintain low resistance across the phases.

Frequently Asked

Is this compatible with single-phase track systems?

No. This connector is designed specifically for 3-phase track systems and carries three separate circuits through the joint. It will not work with single-phase or 2-circuit track.

What angles can the swivel connector achieve?

The central pivot allows continuous adjustment from 0° (straight-through) to 90° (right-angle turn). The connector locks at any angle within that range by tightening the pivot bolt.

Can this be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not protected against moisture ingress and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.

How is the connector fitted to the track?

Each arm of the connector slides into the end channel of a track section. Internal contacts align with the track's three phases, and locking screws secure the electrical and mechanical connection. The angle is then adjusted and the central pivot bolt tightened to lock the configuration.
