Description

This 2W G9 LED bulb is a small capsule lamp giving a crisp cool white light at 4000K with a 200 lumen output. A frosted polycarbonate body spreads the light softly and keeps the diodes out of sight, so it looks neat in fittings where the lamp is visible. The two pin G9 base pushes into the usual G9 holder, making this a low energy stand in for the little halogen capsules used in wall lights, pendants and decorative clusters. It draws very little power for its steady, useful output.

Cool white at 4000K gives a fresher, more neutral light than warm white, which works well where you want clarity, such as task lighting, dressing areas and modern schemes. The frosted cover is easy on the eye in multi lamp shades where several capsules sit together. This lamp is made for indoor fittings only, so keep it to dry interior rooms rather than bathroom zones or outdoor lights. Swapping an old halogen G9 for this LED version is a quick way to lower the running cost of a fitting you already own.

With a rated life of about 15,000 hours, this frosted G9 LED bulb outlasts the halogen capsule it replaces by a wide margin, so you spend less time relamping awkward fittings. It is non dimmable and should run from a standard on and off switch rather than a dimmer circuit. To fit it, line up the two pins and press the lamp gently into the holder.
